The Rachio 3 Smart Sprinkler Controller is connected to the cloud (how appropriate) so you can run your sprinkler system anywhere, anytime, from your smartphone. Better yet, the Rachio app will recommend days and times for watering based on location, vegetation and soil type. It references satellite, radar and weather station data to provide schedule adjustments accurate to within a 36-foot radius of the controller.
It also connects with most smart home systems like Alexa, Google Assistant, Nest and Apple HomeKit. Just don’t abuse your new found power by telling Alexa to hose down the neighbors walking on your lawn.
According to the company, Rachio has saved homeowners and their communities more than 35 billion gallons of water since it released its first smart sprinkler controller in 2014.
